The concept of a dynamic indoor climate has been scientifically studied in a four-year long research project. During long-term climate interventions at the Hermitage Amsterdam, the indoor climate, visitors’ comfort and energy demand have been monitored.

Compared to a conventional strict climate control, energy savings of 50% were achieved by using ASHRAE climate class AA and even savings of 63% using ASHRAE climate class A. Although complying to these climate classes, the course of the indoor climate may differ for each specific situation: DYSECO calculates the optimal course of the indoor climate for your specific situation resulting in the lowest energy demand as possible.

Additionally, it has been shown that the number of hours visitors experience thermal discomfort has been decreased by 80%. Overall, the visitors’ comfort has improved in all seasons.

Compared to a conventional strict climate control, energy savings as high as 63% have been demonstrated using ASHRAE Climate class A.
